I'll Be There by Holly Goldberg Sloan

The story is about various character's lives. Two of the characters, Riddle and Sam Border depend on each other for the sake of their lives. Clarence Border, their father, wants nothing to do with them so they are unloved. The Border family is a family that travels a lot and as they were staying at a little town of the coast, Sam sees a girl who he soon finds out her name is Emily-singing "I'll Be There" and they feel connected. Emily bell believes in destiny so she knows this mysterious kid and his brother were meant to be in her life... with a little help from her parents. I liked it because the characters were so interesting and different in their own way.
