The Peculiar by Stefan Bachmann

In the slums of Bath, "Don't get yourself noticed and won't get yourself hanged," are the words the half-bloods must live by to survive the hatred from the humans. Everything goes wrong when a lady in Plum shoes up and takes the Buddelbinster Boy (Bartholomew's neighbor). This book is told in two stories following a half-blood named Bartholomew and a wealthy man that goes by the name of Aurthor Jeliby. Both of them join forces to stop evil Mr. Lickeresh. This compelling book teaches themes of segregation between different creatures.

I loved the book because it was kind of scary and was full of action, and when you read one part you would think that things could not get any worse, but they would. I also liked the way the author wrote the series of the events. That was following 2 main different points of view. A boy named Bartholomew and a man called Aurthor Jelliby.

I loved the book The Peculiar because it is mysterious and scary. It has tons of adventure and it's very exciting. The author is amazing with his words. It's a great book for points and will keep you reading.
