The Emerald Atlas by John Stephens--Brianna

Three children Kate, Micheal and Emma, are moved from orphanage to orphanage until Dr. Pym offers to take them in. They discover rooms around the house. One has a lot of stuff including a book. Micheal thinks it is a photo album and puts a picture in it, it throws them back in time where they meet an evil witch who is killing the children of the past...the adventure goes on.

It is brimming with action, emotion and humor.
