Ghetto Cowboy by G. Neri

The book is about a boy, Cole, who misses a couple of weeks of school. He gets in trouble with his mom. She dumps him in the streets of Philly to live with his dad he's never met. In Philly horses are a way of life. Cole doesn't like horses and is learning about horses and the people there. Someone is trying to close the stables and Cole is trying to help. I like this book because it is about horses and learning to stand up for what's right. --Brianna
