Penny From Heaven by Jennifer L. Holm

This book is about an eleven-year-old girl named Penny who lives with her mom, grandpa and grandma who are her mom’s parents. Her dad died when she was a little girl and her mom doesn’t like to talk about him. She’s not having a good summer because for one thing her mom won’t let her swim in public pools. Another thing is that her mom’s family and her dad’s family aren’t speaking to each other. To make matters worse her mom is dating the milkman! I liked this book because it talked about things that could happen to real people. I also liked the part when she punched this mean girl in the face. --Arianna
