Peter Nimble and His Fantastic Eyes by Jonathan Auxier

This book is about an orphan who finds a box with three pairs of magical eyes. This orphan named Peter is blind, but can sense how people look, Once he grabbed the box he feels a man grab him. The mysterious man takes him to a magical world with a creature who is half cat, half horse looking for a potion to change him back into a human. Peter is told he needs to help people who wrote a note in a glass bottle through the ocean. The note has a riddle saying the people need help. Peter is told if he fulfills his mission he will receive good fortune. Through his journey Peter meets new people, makes new friends, and meets new enemies. I liked this book because there is a secret that unravels as you read more and more. You will be eager to find out what it is but I did not like that so many people died. -- Samantha
