Eon: Dragoneye Reborn by Alison Goodman --Kevin

Eon: Dragoneye Reborn is about a girl named Eona who is chosen to become a dragoneye apprentice. A dragoneye has the power of one of the twelve dragons of the Chinese cycle. In the world of dragoneyes, women are believed to have no power. To train to become a dragoneye, eona disguises herself as a boy. When Eona is sent through training the people who know her secret have no hope for her to win. The dragon must pick its next dragoneye from watching a ceremony in which twelve competitors perform complicated sword-fighting moves. What I really liked about the book is that it has a lot of action. It kept me reading well past midnight. I have to say, it is one of the best books ever written.
