Countdown by Deborah Wiles

Countdown is about a girl, Franny. The book is set during the time when Russia put nuclear bombs in Cuba. Franny's life was going just fine until she heard on TV that if the bombs in Cuba exploded, the explosion would be able to hit America. They start building a bomb shelter. Franny is emotionally distressed about the Cuban Missile Crisis, which makes her relationships with her friend and family more confusing.
I liked Countdown because Franny is a very smart girl. I can relate to it because sometimes when I'm in math class, my teacher skips me when I raise my hand like Franny's teacher skips her. I also liked that the author put news articles in the book because I like reading what they were saying about things that were happening at the time.

Sent by Margaret Haddix

In the last book, Found, Jonah and Chip started looking into their past and caught themselves in a sticky situation. They discover that they are famous children from the past that were kidnapped by time travelers from the future. In this book, JB uses his Elucidator to zap them and another kid who was also kidnapped from the past named Alex back into the past and they land in the fifteenth century. When they get there they find out that Chip is a king and Alex is his brother. JB said that when they are finished they can get back in the present but they first need to save Alex and Chip from being murdered. The person who tries to kill them is their own uncle! I liked this book because it has twice as much suspense as the first book.

Underdogs by Markus Zusak--Antony M.

Underdogs is three books in one. It's about Cameron and Ruben Wolfe. They are trying to earn money to give to their parents because the parents are running behind on their bills. I liked the middle story the best because the brothers are going to street fight each other for money and I didn't know who would win. I recommend this book to people who like serious books.
